red work blocks completed!

Here they are in all their red glory. Now to piece them together, find backing and binding fabric and quilt the sucker. Ok, so I’m not really all that close to being done, but I do like the looks of them all arranged like this. I’m definitely going to sash them in white, but I might be backing off from the idea of adding an additional red running stitch in the sashing. There is already so much going on in these blocks, I don’t think I want to add any more visual distraction.

In other news, I received this fun mod quilt in the mail today. This vintage inspire  beauty was made by Leona of Leona’s Quilting Adventure and came with so many extras, I’m embarrassed to post a photo of them. I love the toast fabric and the skinny strips that she made.

I shipped my doll quilt off to ****** two weeks ago today, and I’m starting to get nervous that it hasn’t arrived. Because I shipped internationally, I wasn’t able put tracking on the package and I wish I could check that it is still safe in the postal service hands.

  1. Ooh, I like the red blocks! Somehow your doll quilt seems to match too. I guess your partner did a good job designing it for you {and it’s super cute too!}.

Thanks for your kind comments, everyone. I don’t know why I’m nervous about people not loving the red work blocks as much as I do. I’m hoping to have some time this weekend to finish the quilt and take some good photos (assuming the weather cooperates).
