Giveaway Day!

Hello! Welcome to my corner of the world wide web. I’m glad you stopped by. I know you have a busy day today, so let’s cut to the chase. I’m giving away a hand made zipper pouch filled with a scrap pack of animal fabric (there’s a little HR Medocino, some Kokka robots and owls, Tip Top elephants, Japansese hedgies, Jay McCarroll deer, as well as some larger pieces of a couple different Michael Miller prints).

To win, just leave a comment on this post. If you know a good joke, please do share, but jokes are not required for entry. If you like what you see, maybe you could add me to your google reader or even subscribe to my blog so you can come back later on a day when you aren’t as busy.

This give away will be open until 5 pm CST on Wednesday, May 25 and I will ship internationally. Good luck!

Here is a joke for you…

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go on a camping trip, and after finishing their dinner they retire for the night, and go to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend. “Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.”
“I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes” exclaims Watson.
“And what do you deduce from that?”
Watson ponders for a minute. “Well, astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful, and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe. What does it tell you, Holmes?”
“Watson, you idiot!” he exclaims, “Somebody’s stolen our tent!”

Thank you somuch for this chance to win :D. Fingers crossed

Three guys, stranded on a desert island, find a magic lantern containing a genie, who grants them each one wish. The first guy wishes he was off the island and back home. The second guy wishes the same. The third guy says “I’m lonely. I wish my friends were back here”

  27. Sydney says:

Can’t think of a joke but I have a cute story…my son was five and asking me tons of questions in the back seat of the car one day. It was a busy day around the holidays and I was consumed by what I needed at the store so I was giving him general answers to the what seemed like hundreds of questions he was asking as they came mind. One question he asked was when I got married to which I replied, “A long time ago.” He thought about that for a while and then asked, “Was Jesus alive?”

    Gorgeous pouch & fabrics!

Whenever anybody asks for a good joke, the only one I can ever think of right off the top of my head is the one my little brother (then about 6 or 7) told at my great-grandmother’s funeral – Why do seagulls fly over the sea? If they flew over the bay, they’d be baygulls (bagels). He walked around telling anybody who would listen. Odd, yes I know, but it makes for a fonder memory of such a sad day. That and the awe of the fact that she’s in a mosoleum just a couple rooms down from the singer Tiny Tim. Sorry, that’s more than you asked for! πŸ™‚

  110. Bianca Howell says:

    Lovely fabrics and lovely blog.

  135. FLORENTINA says:

    greetings from chicago!

  136. Erin says:

Oh! That is a bunch of fun goodies. I’ll leave you two jokes because the first one is all in the execution so it’s not as funny when written down.

Two whales are sitting in a bar. One whale turns to the other and says, “(Make a bunch of whales sounds here, the longer you can drag it out the better.)”
The other whale says, “You’re drunk, Carl.”
(My husband tells that one the best, I laugh every time.)

however, my parent’s just adopted a new cat, who spent the first few days hiding in the rafters above their laundry room. this led to multiple jokes about “ceiling cat”, and last night my mom and i googled ceiling cat and spent a good hour laughing hysterically. so i suggest doing doing the same!

… I thought it was funny.

I live in a small town where two of our most widely known citizens are (1) a guy who shot himself while practicing his quick draw on a snowman and (2) a guy who wrapped his head and face in Duct Tape to commit a robbery and earned the name “The Duct Tape Bandit”.
